Due to the forecast for ice and snow, Laurens County School District 55 will shift to E-Learning on Friday, January 10, 2025. The weather conditions are expected to hinder school buses from operating safely on their routes and also pose a danger to our families who transport their children.
All district schools and offices will be closed. E-learning means that teachers will post or send the assignments for students to complete at their own pace; there will be no live instruction. There will be no live Google Meets classes. The assignments will be uploaded to Google Classroom or given to the students by 9:00 A.M. on Friday, January 10, 2025. Students will have five school days from their return to school to complete assignments.
Schools and offices are open on Thursday, January 9, 2025. All Athletics events and after-school activities are canceled on Friday, January 10, 2025.
Breakfast and lunch will be sent home with students this afternoon.
